Recycle Your Old Electronics On July 26

Ogle County residents can participate in an electronics recycling event on July 26, 2024, at 909 Pines Road, Oregon. It's a chance to responsibly dispose of old electronics.

To attend, residents need a free permit obtained in advance by contacting OCSWMD with their name, address, and contact information by July 25, 4:00 p.m.

Accepted items include televisions, computers, laptops, cell phones, printers, and more, helping to reduce electronic waste in the community.

Microwave ovens may be recycled at the event for a minimal price of $5 per unit, which can be paid with either cash or a check upon arrival.

In order to ensure that everyone has equal access to the program, each household is permitted to bring up to seven items that are either big or bulky for recycling.

Business and institutional electronic materials are not accepted; specific arrangements can be made through OCSWMD for these items.

Business and institutional electronic materials are not accepted at these events, but the OCSWMD offers a separate program with pricing information for business electronic recycling.
